Hello, and welcome to the Khoma Brut circle!
We’re about connecting people here, and are always trying novel ways to do that.
For now, poke around and connect with us. This is an overwhelming amount of public virtual place, so maybe pick the one or two you use and find me there.
YouTube is where I have a live streaming series called Carries Fire. That happens consistently on Saturday afternoons from 6-8 [Guatemala time] and usually a few other times a week as well. You can explore the Carries Fire live stream catalogue to see what kind of things we do there. Follow and get notifications to join in for improvised sessions from wherever I am and, if you really really want to know when I go live (or don’t like hearing from YouTube), there’s a WhatsApp group where you can sign up to receive a message each time as I’m starting.
Check out Regular Humans, my previous New Mexico band, by searching “Regular Humans” wherever you stream. My personal favorite album is “Humans,” that starts with my favorite track, “Approaching Winter.” Or listen on Bandcamp for bonus tracks, liner notes, and releases you can find nowhere else.
Hit me up on Instagram.
Finally, where it all comes together: the extensive writing on my blog and Substack. I also have a published poetry collection called Choreography of the Living. Check out visual art on my site as well.
I told you that it was a lot! Glad you got through it.
See you out there.
Please drop me an email if you engage with this stuff and like something.
All the best,
Matthew
